Wednesday Night Men’s League Rules & Event Descriptions
Rules/Event Descriptions
USGA Rules will apply to all events along with WNML Competition Local Rules.
WNML LOCAL RULES:
GIMME TAPE: The Gimme Tape is a mark on the pin set at 24".
Once your ball enters the “Gimme Tape Zone", you do not need to finish the hole. Pickup your ball and add a stroke for taking the gimme. This will assist pace of play.
MAXIMUM SCORE: The maximum score any player can take is a 9. If you are shooting/putting for an 8 and miss, please pickup your ball and move on.
======================================
Handicap Parameters
The WNML uses Golf Genius managing software to manage the league.
Handicaps will be calculated by the World Handicapping System. USGA Handicapping
WHS updates handicaps on a daily basis.
We will use 90% of your WHS handicap.
Holes not finished: If a player does not play a hole or doesn’t record a score, the score recorded for that hole will be the maximum 9 & Golf Genius will adjust this score accordingly for handicap calculations.
Golf Genius will post all league scores to you WHS handicap. ***DO NOT POST YOUR LEAGUE SCORES***
Players without an established WHS Handicap will play as a 0 handicap until a handicap is established;
To establish a WHS handicap, it will only take 54 holes (any combination of 9 and 18-hole scores) to establish a Handicap Index and be a part of the World Handicap System.
